About This Site

Play Chicken Road

This site exists because we could not find a plain answer to a simple question: what does an hour of this game actually cost? Every page we opened either sold a predictor tool, recommended an operator for commission, or described lanes from a build that had been replaced two years earlier. So we started writing down the arithmetic, and the notes turned into a website.

Everything published here follows the same shape. State the mechanism, show the numbers, say what would change our mind, and prefer a figure over an adjective wherever one exists.

What We Do

We read lane tables, log rounds, and compare tools against a control. When a product claims to name a safe lane, we log a hundred of its calls against a hundred randomly chosen cash-out points and compare the two columns. The protocol is published on this site so that anybody can run it and disagree with us using their own data.

We also read permission manifests before installing anything, check domain registration dates against claims about years of operation, and follow affiliate links to whichever operator sits at the end of them. None of it is difficult work. It is simply work nobody funded by this market has any reason to do.

What We Do Not Do

We do not host or link to game packages, modified builds or downloadable method files. We do not accept payment from operators, studios or tool vendors, and we carry no affiliate links. We do not publish a page ranking branded versions of the game, because doing so would imply differences that our own checks do not find.

We also do not tell anybody what to do with their own money. The pages here describe how a round is produced and what each decision costs; what happens after that belongs to the reader.

How This Site Is Funded

It is small, the hosting is inexpensive, and the people who write it pay for it. There is no advertising, no sponsorship and no revenue that depends on a reader clicking anything. That is worth stating plainly, because in this category it is unusual and because funding is the first thing that should be checked on any site making claims about products.

Our Standard of Evidence

We try to meet the standard we ask of the products we write about. Where we state a figure, it comes from a logged run and we say how long that run was. Where we are reasoning from structure rather than measurement, we say so. Where we have not tested something, we do not describe it as tested, and approximate lane figures are labelled as approximate because builds vary between operators.

If something here is wrong we would rather correct it than defend it. The most useful correction we can receive is a log — a record of calls or rounds, with the losses included, showing something we did not expect.

Age and Jurisdiction

This site is written for adults who are legally permitted to consider these games where they live. Rules on real-money play differ substantially between Indian states and between countries. Nothing here is legal advice, and the responsibility for knowing local law rests with the reader.

Contact

Corrections, logs and disagreements are welcome through the contact route in the footer. Requests to review a product favourably, add an affiliate link or remove criticism of a brand are not.

The clearest place to start reading is how a single round works, since everything else here follows from it. The full list of guides is on the home page.
